PART 2: THE SECRET ACCOUNT THAT REVEALED HIS SECOND FAMILY

Zhou Kaiming sat on the floor.

The man who had just entered the house shouting at me no longer had any trace of arrogance.

His fingers trembled as he held those photographs.

—To Tinh… listen to me.

I looked at him quietly.

It was strange.

After discovering everything, I thought I would scream.

I thought I would cry.

But when the truth finally stood in front of me, I only felt tired.

Extremely tired.

—Explain what?

My voice was calm.

—Explain why your son calls another woman “mom”?

His face turned pale.

—That’s not what you think.

I almost laughed.

That sentence.

The sentence every betrayed person hears.

Not what you think.

But the evidence was already there.

The photos.

The transfers.

The apartment.

The child.

Everything.

He crawled closer, trying to grab my hand.

I moved away.

—Don’t touch me.

Zhou Kaiming froze.

For the first time in our five years of marriage, I saw fear in his eyes.

—To Tinh, I made mistakes.

—But I never stopped loving you.

I looked at him.

—You transferred more than twelve million yuan to another woman.

—You spent holidays with her.

—You built a second family.

I paused.

—And you still came home asking why I didn’t call you?

His lips moved.

But no words came out.

I stood up and walked toward the cabinet.

There was another folder inside.

I took it out and placed it on the table.

His expression changed immediately.

—What else is there?

I pushed it toward him.

—Open it.

He hesitated.

Then slowly opened it.

The first page was a DNA test report.

His eyes widened.

The second page was a birth certificate.

The child’s surname was Zhou.

His surname.

The room became completely silent.

—No…

His voice broke.

—How did you…

I smiled faintly.

—Do you think I only investigated your affair?

—Do you think I only found out about Bach Nguyet?

I leaned back on the sofa.

—When I discovered the first transfer, I already suspected something was wrong.

—So I hired someone to investigate.

Zhou Kaiming stared at me.

Like he was seeing me for the first time.

The wife who had cooked for him every day.

The woman who waited for him to return from every business trip.

The person he thought would forgive everything.

He finally understood.

I wasn’t the weak woman he imagined.

I was simply someone who had loved him enough to ignore everything.

Until he crossed the final line.

—Why didn’t you confront me earlier?

I looked at him.

—Because I wanted to see how long you could continue lying.

—And I wanted to know…

I smiled.

—Whether you would choose to tell me the truth yourself.

He lowered his head.

Silence answered for him.

At that moment, his phone rang.

The screen lit up.

The name appeared clearly.

Bach Nguyet.

Zhou Kaiming immediately panicked.

He reached for the phone.

But I spoke first.

—Answer it.

He stopped.

—What?

—Answer.

My calmness made him even more nervous.

After a few seconds, he pressed the button.

A woman’s crying voice came from the speaker.

—Kaiming, why aren’t you answering me?

—The hospital called. Our son needs another examination.

—Also… your wife won’t find out, right?

Zhou Kaiming’s face instantly lost all color.

Because the call was on speaker.

And because he finally realized something.

The woman on the other end had just destroyed the last excuse he had left.

I looked at him.

—Go ahead.

—Tell me.

—How many more secrets are there?
