PART 2: THE CAMERA FOOTAGE THAT EXPOSED MY WIFE’S REAL PLAN.

I didn’t go to the airport.

That was the first decision I made.

The second was pretending I still believed everything was normal.

Because if Sarah knew Lily had told me the truth, whatever she was hiding would disappear before I could prove anything.

I hugged my daughter tightly.

“Sweetheart, Daddy has to make one quick phone call.”

Lily looked at me with worried eyes.

“Are you still leaving?”

I smiled gently.

“Not today.”

But I couldn’t let Sarah know that yet.

I picked up my suitcase, walked toward the front door, and made sure she saw me leave.

Through the reflection in the glass, I watched her.

Sarah was still standing in the kitchen.

Still holding the glass of juice.

Still smiling.

A smile that suddenly felt completely different.

I drove around the neighborhood for twenty minutes before turning my car around.

Then I parked two streets away and walked back home quietly.

I didn’t enter through the front door.

Instead, I used the side entrance that led to my office.

Years ago, after Hannah died, I installed security cameras around the house.

Sarah knew about the main cameras.

What she didn’t know was that I had kept a backup system connected to a private server.

I had never needed it.

Until now.

I opened my laptop.

My hands were shaking as I searched the recordings from the previous weeks.

At first, I found nothing.

Sarah was always careful.

She smiled when cameras were visible.

She acted like the perfect stepmother.

She helped Lily with homework.

She made breakfast.

She told everyone how much she loved my daughter.

Then I checked the hidden angle from the kitchen.

And everything changed.

The video showed Sarah waiting until I left for work.

Then her entire personality changed.

Her voice became colder.

Her patience disappeared.

One recording showed Lily refusing to drink the juice.

Sarah leaned closer.

“You need to cooperate, Lily.”

The little girl looked scared.

“I don’t want it.”

Sarah sighed.

“You don’t understand. Daddy needs to see the truth about you.”

My stomach tightened.

Then Sarah pulled out her phone.

She started recording.

She wasn’t trying to help Lily.

She was creating evidence against her.

I kept watching.

Day after day.

The same pattern.

Sarah would give Lily something, wait for her to become restless, then record her behavior.

But then I saw something that made me stop the video.

Julian.

The man Lily mentioned.

He wasn’t a stranger.

I recognized him immediately.

Julian Harper.

A real estate investor.

Someone I had met twice at business events.

Someone Sarah had told me was “just an old family friend.”

But the camera showed something very different.

Julian was sitting in my living room.

Looking through documents.

Sarah placed a folder on the table.

“This is the last thing we need.”

Julian opened it.

“Are you sure Marcus will transfer everything?”

Sarah smiled.

“He will when everyone believes Lily is unstable.”

I froze.

Everything suddenly became clear.

The juice.

The videos.

The fake concerns.

They weren’t trying to prove Lily was difficult.

They were building a story.

A story where my daughter would look like the problem.

And Sarah would become the poor wife who had to deal with an uncontrollable child.

But why?

Then Julian said something that made my blood run cold.

“Once the custody situation changes, the house will be much easier to handle.”

Sarah looked toward the hallway.

“Especially because of the beach property.”

The beach property.

Lily’s words came rushing back.

They weren’t talking about some random house.

They were talking about Hannah’s beach house.

The one Hannah’s parents left for Lily.

The one that legally belonged to my daughter.

A property Sarah had never shown interest in before.

Until now.

I closed the laptop.

I had enough proof.

But I needed more.

Because Sarah wasn’t just manipulating my daughter.

She was trying to take everything my daughter had left from her mother.

That night, I returned home like nothing happened.

Sarah was sitting on the couch.

The moment she saw me, she looked surprised.

“Marcus? I thought your flight was already leaving.”

I smiled.

“The trip was canceled.”

For half a second, panic crossed her face.

Then it disappeared.

“Oh no. Is everything okay?”

I nodded.

“Everything is fine.”

She walked toward me.

“I made dinner.”

I looked at the woman standing in front of me.

The woman who had spent months pretending to love my daughter.

The woman who was now trying to destroy her.

“Where’s Lily?”

Sarah smiled.

“Sleeping.”

I walked upstairs.

Lily was awake.

The moment she saw me, she ran into my arms.

“Daddy.”

I hugged her.

“You did the right thing telling me.”

She whispered:

“Is Sarah mad?”

I looked at my daughter.

“No.”

I paused.

“She’s scared.”

The next morning, I made a call.

Not to Sarah.

Not to Julian.

To my attorney.

I sent him every recording.

Every document.

Every piece of evidence.

But before we could confront them, my attorney found something unexpected.

Something even I didn’t know.

He called me that afternoon.

“Marcus, you need to come to my office.”

“Why?”

There was silence.

Then he said:

“Because I found something in Hannah’s old estate documents.”

My heart stopped.

“What?”

“Your wife Sarah isn’t only after the beach house.”

I gripped the phone.

“What else?”

His voice became serious.

“She has been trying to access something else Hannah left behind.”

I frowned.

“What?”

A long pause.

Then he said:

“Your daughter isn’t just the beneficiary of the property.”

“She’s the beneficiary of a trust.”

I slowly sat down.

A trust Hannah created before she died.

A trust Sarah had no idea existed.

And then my attorney said the sentence that changed everything:

“Marcus, someone has been trying to make Lily appear incapable of managing that trust.”

I looked toward the stairs where my daughter was playing.

Suddenly, I understood.

The target was never just the beach house.

It was Lily’s entire future.

And Sarah had been planning this from the beginning.
