PART 2: THE PERSON BEHIND THE CANCELLED ORDER

I didn’t immediately return to the VIP room.

Instead, I stood outside the counter, looking at the frozen order status on the screen.

That number was no longer just a handbag order.

It had become proof.

Proof that someone had tried to erase my mother’s rights right in front of me.

Trinh Y Hoan lowered her voice.

“Miss Gian, if you don’t mind me asking… is the person inside really your father?”

I looked at the closed VIP room door.

“Yes.”

She hesitated.

“But from the system records, the person who requested the change wasn’t your father.”

I looked at her.

“What do you mean?”

She turned the screen slightly.

“The account owner is Mrs. Gian Thu. The authorized contact is you. Your father can accompany the purchase, but he cannot directly modify the customer’s intention.”

My fingers tightened around my phone.

So it wasn’t just arrogance.

It wasn’t just Bach Chi Tinh wanting to improve her sales record.

Someone had deliberately used my father’s presence to make the store believe the order was being changed by the family.

I walked back toward the VIP room.

Before opening the door, I heard laughter inside.

Bach Chi Tinh’s voice.

“Actually, General Manager Deputy, your wife is quite lucky. Having a daughter who knows these things saves you a lot of trouble.”

My footsteps stopped.

My wife.

Not my mother.

She was already speaking as if she belonged in my father’s world.

I pushed the door open.

The conversation stopped instantly.

My father looked at me.

“Finished your call?”

I ignored him.

I looked directly at Bach Chi Tinh.

“Why did you modify my mother’s order?”

Her expression changed for a second.

Then she smiled.

“I already explained. Your father thought the regular model was more suitable.”

I looked at my father.

“Did you tell her to change the order?”

He frowned.

“Why are you questioning me like this?”

“Because this order belongs to Mom.”

The room became quiet.

Bach Chi Tinh immediately said:

“Miss Gian, don’t misunderstand. Your father and Mrs. Gian are husband and wife. Isn’t it normal for him to make decisions?”

I smiled.

“Normal?”

I placed my phone on the table.

“The system says only the account owner or authorized contact can release this allocation.”

Her face turned pale.

My father picked up the phone and looked at the screen.

For the first time, his expression changed.

“Why didn’t you tell me about this?”

Bach Chi Tinh quickly answered:

“I thought you were the main decision maker because…”

She stopped.

Because what?

Because she thought my mother didn’t matter?

Because she thought my father represented the entire family?

Or because she assumed I was just an insignificant daughter standing beside him?

I didn’t need her to finish.

I already understood.

My father put the phone down.

“Chi Tinh, did you really change the order without confirmation?”

Her lips moved.

“General Manager Deputy, I only wanted to help.”

“Help?”

I repeated softly.

“You almost canceled a limited allocation that my mother waited months for.”

She looked at me.

Then suddenly her eyes became red.

“I didn’t know you would misunderstand me.”

There it was.

The familiar trick.

Turn the person who discovered the problem into the person causing the problem.

My father looked at me.

“Jian Duong, maybe this is just a misunderstanding.”

I stared at him.

“A misunderstanding needs two sides.”

I pointed at the tablet.

“But someone changed the record.”

No one spoke.

Then my phone rang.

The caller ID appeared.

Mom’s assistant.

I answered immediately.

“Miss Jian.”

Her voice was serious.

“Your mother asked me to confirm something.”

“What?”

“Did your father bring you to the luxury store today?”

I looked at my father.

“Yes.”

A pause.

Then she continued.

“Did he bring another woman with him?”

My expression froze.

Slowly, I turned toward Bach Chi Tinh.

She avoided my eyes.

“Why are you asking?”

The assistant was silent for two seconds.

Then she said:

“Because this morning, Mrs. Jian received a notification.”

“Someone attempted to transfer the VIP account contact authority.”

My heart sank.

“What?”

“The request was submitted under your father’s personal information.”

The room suddenly became colder.

I looked at my father.

He looked confused.

“What transfer?”

Nobody answered.

Because everyone was thinking the same thing.

Someone wasn’t just trying to replace a handbag.

Someone was trying to replace the person who had control over my mother’s assets.

Bach Chi Tinh suddenly stood up.

“I need to go.”

I looked at her.

“Why?”

She forced a smile.

“Because this has nothing to do with me anymore.”

I stepped forward.

“No.”

I looked at the system screen.

“Now it has everything to do with you.”

Her face changed.

Because below the order history, there was one more record.

A hidden note.

A note only visible to internal staff.

Created by Bach Chi Tinh.

The content was only one sentence.

“Customer relationship can be transferred after family confirmation.”

And attached below was a screenshot.

A screenshot of my father’s signature.

Except…

The signature date was tomorrow.
