Silence settled over the hospital room.
For the first time that night, Preston looked afraid.
Vivienne folded her arms, refusing to show any emotion.
“This is harassment,” she said coldly.
“Our attorneys will have every one of you removed.”
Special Agent Naomi Pierce calmly opened a thick evidence binder.
“I don’t think they will.”
She placed several photographs on Nadia’s hospital tray.
Each image showed the Calder estate.
The locked guest house.
The reinforced windows.
The electronic locks.
The surveillance cameras pointed inward instead of outward.
Detective Mara Bennett added another folder.
“We executed search warrants two hours ago.”
“Everything has already been documented.”
Grant scoffed.
“You have no proof anyone was held there.”
Naomi pressed a button on her tablet.
A security recording filled the room.
Preston appeared on screen dragging Nadia by the arm toward the guest house.
She was crying.
Begging him to stop.
Vivienne stood beside the door.
“Take her phone,” she ordered.
“No one believes unstable women.”
The recording ended.
No one spoke.
The young doctor slowly lowered his head.
“I almost signed the psychiatric transfer.”
Nadia reached for my hand.
“It wasn’t just me.”
Everyone turned toward her.
“There were others.”
Naomi nodded.
“We know.”
She removed another file.
“Five women.”
“Each married into the Calder family or worked inside Calder Defense Logistics.”
“Each was declared emotionally unstable shortly before reporting financial misconduct.”
Detective Bennett looked directly at Preston.
“Three disappeared from public records.”
Grant’s face drained of color.
Vivienne finally lost her composure.
“Those accusations are outrageous.”
“They’re federal findings,” Naomi replied.
Just then, another federal agent entered the room carrying a sealed evidence case.
“We’ve finished examining the company servers.”
He connected a secure drive to his laptop.
The screen displayed thousands of financial transactions.
Fake veteran rehabilitation grants.
Shell companies.
Fraudulent defense invoices.
Money moved through dozens of accounts before arriving at Calder-controlled entities.
Then the final spreadsheet appeared.
Every transfer originated from one digital authorization.
The account holder’s name filled the screen.
Vivienne Calder.
She staggered backward.
“That’s impossible.”
Naomi quietly produced one final document.
“Not according to the biometric login records.”
“Every authorization used your fingerprint.”
Preston stared at his mother in disbelief.
“You told me everything was legal.”
Vivienne said nothing.
Her attorney slowly closed his briefcase.
“I can no longer represent you.”

He turned and walked out.
Within seconds, two more lawyers followed.
News alerts began appearing across every phone in the room.
CALDER DEFENSE SHARES HALTED.
FEDERAL RAID EXPANDS.
DEFENSE DEPARTMENT SUSPENDS ALL CALDER CONTRACTS.
Grant checked his phone.
His voice trembled.
“Our banks…”
“Our accounts…”
Naomi answered calmly.
“Frozen.”
Then Major Livia Hart stepped forward with a final envelope.
“Mrs. Calder.”
“This warrant isn’t for financial crimes.”
She unfolded the document.
“It’s for conspiracy, unlawful imprisonment, witness intimidation, and assault.”
As military police placed handcuffs on Preston and Vivienne, Nadia squeezed my hand.
For the first time since I arrived…
She finally believed they would never be able to hurt her again.
