PART 2: THE TRUTH BEHIND THE MOVIE THAT DESTROYED MY LIFE

The moment I stepped onto the stage, the entire auditorium became silent.

Thousands of eyes followed me.

Some were curious.

Some were confused.

Some were already recording.

But only two people knew exactly what was about to happen.

Luc Tan.

And Lam Tinh Van.

The woman who had turned my suffering into her masterpiece.

I stood under the bright lights, holding the microphone.

For ten years, I had imagined this moment.

Not because I wanted revenge.

But because I wanted the world to know the truth.

—Captain Luc.

My voice echoed through the hall.

—Ten years ago, you personally told me that you would protect me.

Luc Tan’s fingers tightened.

The calm expression he had maintained for years finally cracked.

—Nien Niem…

He whispered my name.

The same way he used to call me when we were still in love.

But now, hearing it only made me feel cold.

—Do you remember that abandoned factory?

The entire room became restless.

Reporters immediately turned their cameras toward him.

Luc Tan’s face changed.

Because he knew.

He knew I was no longer the woman who would stay silent.

Lam Tinh Van quickly stepped forward.

—Miss To, I think there may be some misunderstanding. The film was created based on professional investigation and—

I interrupted her.

—Professional investigation?

I looked at her.

—Or stolen memories?

Her smile froze.

I turned toward the huge screen behind us.

—Can we play the original footage?

The host panicked.

—Miss To, this event is not prepared for—

A staff member suddenly approached the stage.

He whispered something into the host’s ear.

The host’s face immediately changed.

Because someone had already uploaded a file into the system.

A file named:

“THE REAL SEVEN DAYS.”

The audience erupted.

Luc Tan stood up.

—Stop it.

His voice was no longer gentle.

It was a command.

The same commanding voice he used when he wore his military uniform.

But this time…

Nobody listened.

The screen turned black.

Then the first image appeared.

Not the edited movie.

Not Lam Tinh Van’s beautiful version.

The truth.

The factory.

The darkness.

My fear.

The days when I begged for someone to find me.

The audience slowly became silent.

Because there was no dramatic music.

No beautiful acting.

No heroic background story.

Only reality.

And then another thing appeared.

A timestamp.

A recording date.

Eight years ago.

Three months before the movie was produced.

The next image showed the file transfer history.

Sender:

Luc Tan.

Receiver:

Lam Tinh Van.

The auditorium exploded.

“Impossible!”

“He gave her the original footage?”

“Was the whole movie based on a real victim?”

The reporters rushed forward.

Luc Tan stood there completely frozen.

For ten years, he had convinced himself that he was only helping a friend.

For ten years, he ignored what happened after.

He ignored the way I disappeared.

He ignored the fact that I changed my identity.

He ignored that I left my homeland and started over in Switzerland.

He ignored that the woman he loved had destroyed another person’s life.

I looked at him.

—Captain Luc.

He slowly raised his head.

His eyes were red.

—I never wanted it to become like this.

I laughed softly.

—No?

I pointed at the screen.

—Then why did you send her my medical records?

His expression changed.

The audience gasped.

Even Lam Tinh Van looked surprised.

Because she didn’t know everything.

She only knew the parts that helped her create a successful movie.

But she didn’t know Luc Tan had given her everything.

My hospital reports.

My psychological evaluation.

My private conversations.

Everything.

—You said you wanted authenticity.

I looked directly at him.

—But what you really wanted was her success.

Luc Tan stepped forward.

—Nien Niem, listen to me.

I stepped back.

For the first time in ten years, I saw regret on his face.

But regret was not the same as responsibility.

—You know what hurt the most?

My voice became quieter.

—Not that they hurt me.

Everyone became silent.

—It was that the person I trusted most handed them the knife.

Luc Tan’s eyes filled with pain.

But I continued.

—You were the one person who knew the truth.

A pause.

—And you chose to rewrite it.

Lam Tinh Van suddenly shouted:

—Enough!

Everyone looked at her.

Her elegant image was falling apart.

—You are just angry because the movie became successful!

I looked at her.

—Successful?

I smiled.

—A movie that was built on a victim’s pain without permission?

Her face changed.

Because the legal team behind me finally entered the hall.

My lawyer placed a folder on the table.

—Miss To Niem has officially filed a lawsuit regarding unauthorized use of personal trauma records, false portrayal, and reputational damage.

The entire auditorium went crazy.

Lam Tinh Van stepped backward.

—No…

Luc Tan looked at the papers.

Then at me.

—You planned this.

I shook my head.

—No.

I looked at him one last time.

—I spent ten years surviving.

This isn’t revenge.

This is the truth finally arriving.

At that moment, my lawyer handed me another document.

A document I had not expected.

I opened it.

And my hands stopped moving.

Because inside was a confession.

Not from Lam Tinh Van.

Not from Luc Tan.

From one of the kidnappers.

A statement saying that ten years ago…

the kidnapping itself had not been random.

Someone had paid them.

Someone who knew exactly where I would be.

Someone who wanted me destroyed before the movie was even created.

I slowly looked up.

Because suddenly I understood.

Luc Tan had betrayed me.

Lam Tinh Van had used me.

But neither of them was the person who started everything.

And the name written at the bottom of the confession…

was someone I never expected.

Someone who had been beside me before the nightmare began.
